We want the audience to know snippets of information but not too much that they know what is about to happen.
We want them to be asking the question of, "what happens next, what will she do....'
What we like about this shot is the lighting and the shot angle. This shot can be used in the opening sequence when it's showing the stalker looking at the man's girlfriend from far.
We also like this shot angle and the story that could be behind it. This could be used in the opening sequence when the girlfriend confronts the stalker.
Lastly, what we like about this shot is the framing and the fact that we wouldn't know who the person is; it seems mysterious. This can be used when the girlfriend is being dragged across the floor by the stalker.
After learning how to use different shots, we decided what type of shots we were going to use during the opening sequence in order to create effect. In our opening sequence we will use panning shots, long shots, extreme close ups, medium shots and other varieties. We could use extreme close ups and eye-levels to introduce the characters to the audience. We could also use panning shots when following an actors actions and establishing shots when showing the locations that our opening sequence will take place in.
